Creating a Balanced Meal Plan - Things You Need To Know

A fit lifestyle starts with a healthy diet. No matter what kind of body type you have, you must eat right to maintain your health. Keep in mind that a good-looking body is a bonus when you follow a perfect lifestyle. In this post, we will talk about creating a balanced meal plan and things that need attention.

Don’t Skip Carbohydrates Altogether:

Contrary to what some of the fad diets would want you to believe, do not skip carbs completely. Carbohydrates offer energy for your body and should be a part of every big meal of the day. The idea is to eat healthier carbs that have real nutritional value. Avoid white rice, refined sugar, and wheat flour. Instead, eat more of brown/boiled rice, oats and whole grains.

Include Enough Protein:

Check for protein intake Around 30% to 40% of your diet should consist of good sources of protein. If you are a vegetarian, you can go for cottage cheese, milk, and pulses, whereas eggs, white meat like chicken are good non-vegan sources. You can also include sprouts and pulses in the meals. For those who are into weight lifting and fitness, you should be more particular about your sources of protein.

Your Body Needs Fats:

The third macro ingredient in your diet is fats. Fats are necessary for synthesizing hormones and for getting energy. You have to consider the sources of fat again. If you can skip the vegetable oil for olive oil or rice bran oil, it’s a good choice. Also, include a lot of Omega 3 fatty acids in your diet, which comes from fishes, or else, you can get cod liver oil supplements.

Focus on the Nutrients:

Your body also needs a right amount of vitamins and minerals for cell production and nerve function. Try to include more fruits and veggies in your diet, and if possible, add more green vegetables. Also, check for nuts and seeds, such as pistachios and walnuts. You also need a good amount of fiber, which can come from grains and flax seeds.

Keep Yourself Hydrated:

No meal is complete without hydration. Drink at least three to four liters of water each day, and instead of regular tap water, go for alkaline water, which is infused with minerals like calcium, potassium, and magnesium.

Tru Balance Water is your best brand for alkaline water, with a pH score of 9.5. For more information, check our website!
